training programme
The objective of the CORE Training Network is to deliver a toolbox of knowledge, personal, organizational and impact skills to a core of multi-disciplinary scientists and engineers at the interface of Chemistry, Materials Science and Process Engineering with international and inter-sectorial experience who will contribute to the development of the European knowledge economy. In a multidisciplinary environment the ESRs will acquire their knowledge and transferable skills through an extensive intersectoral exposure to various academic groups, various types of SME and industrial manufacturers.
The CORE Skills Toolbox (WP1) is divided into the 4 domains of Knowledge, Personal Effectiveness, Organization and Impact, focussing on the knowledge and the various transferable skills to be acquired by the ESRs. All 4 domains are strongly connected to the development of the CORE Industrial Toolbox (WP2): by constructing the industrial toolbox the ESRs receive training and skills in all domains. The ESRs will further train for skills in the 3 transferable domains Personal Effectiveness, Organization and Impact through their strong involvement in the WP6-8, for instance by their inclusion in the Training, Management, Dissemination or Exploitation committees.
